Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture Eye Shadow Palette

Hi Beauties! Recently my husband surprised me with the New Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) “Shadow Couture World Traveler” palette. Let me start off by saying I truly have been wanting this palette since I first seen it pop up on my Instagram news feed. The colors looked so smooth and wonderfully thought of that I knew I needed to have it. It retails for $30 USD, and can be purchased at any Ulta, Macy’s, Sephora, Nordstrom, or on the ABH website (http://www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com/).

The palette itself in person is truly beautiful. The Finishes include matte, satin, and metallic and are very pigmented. You get 12 shades which include (from Ulta Website)…

§  Soft Peach: neutral, flesh-toned beige with a matte finish.

§  Morocco: warm, desert sand with a matte finish.

§  Heirloom: A shimmery, eggplant hue with a satin finish.

§  Bellini: A sophisticated, golden peach with a satin finish.

§  Pink Champagne: A cool, glimmering mauve with a metallic  finish.

§  Chic: A sophisticated, taupe grey with a satin finish.

§  Spoiled: A gold-flecked peach with a satin finish.

§  Fudge: A rich, chocolate brown with a matte finish.

§  Azure: A vibrant, Mediterranean blue with a satin finish.

§  Intense Gaze: A warm, bronzed pink with a satin finish.

§  Metallic: A subtle, shimmery gold with a satin finish.

§  Noir: A sultry, inky black with a matte finish.

Ok, so putting all excitement aside, this palette is great, I have used it basically every day since I’ve gotten it. The colors are true to pigmentation, and can be built up more. My favorite shades include Soft Peach, Morocco, and Pink Champagne for an everyday look with a touch of glitter. Now there is minimal fall out with the shadows, but I would say the shades with metallic glitter if not tapped on the eye can definitely lead to fall out. The shadows are very bendable and easy to use; they do not have a chalky consistency which is really big with me! Now, Azure is such a gorgeous color but with like any other blue shadow ,it can be difficult to blend if you try to add too much at once. I would recommend using a little at a time and building it up slowly, unless that’s the looks you’re going for.

Shadows can also be used wet or dry without ruining the consistency of the product, and is recommended. Over all, I love this palette and believe it’s worth the buy for me at least! You can play this palette up or tone it down which makes it such a great palette to have! Let me know your thoughts, and if you’ve purchased this palette let me know how its working for you!
