Classic Smoky Eye

Hey everyone, now that fall is coming I wanted to create a very smokey classic eye. I get told a lot by clients that a classic smokey eye is way to dark. Especially from my browner toned females with brown eyes. Now me being of that fair complexion and brown eye, I believe the opposite.  Its all about the colors you choose and how you blend it. So I created a brown smokey eye. Very bold yet not over powering. I wanted it to look well blended and not like a raccoon eye.

Some products I used
First I started with taking a transition color and applied Buck from the Urban Decay Palette to my crease and blended downwards towards the lid. I than grabbed my Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture Palette. Using Morocco on a blended brush I buffed and deposited the color below the transition color a few centimeters away and blended down towards the lid. Afterwards using Maybelline black eyeliner I lined my eyes (no specific way and it was messy and not even), then with a small pointed dense brush I blended the eyeliner out going upwards to meet to the Morocco I previously used. Try not to blend it downwards that is where the Raccoon eyes will happen. Grabbing the same brush I used Morocco with, I applied a small amount of Fudge from the same Anastasia Palette and started blending the blended eyeliner again going upwards not downwards. Taking a clean blending brush just blend it all together again softly while trying not to move the shadows placed previously, than add a vanilla shade to the eyebrow bone to brighten the area. I choose to add a highlighter in the inner corner to brighten up the look more. On the lower lash line, I lined my water line, and blended it out with Morocco. Add some mascara and lashes and "WALA" you're done. Just remember to keep blending and when you think you're done blend some more! hehe
Classic Smokey Eye

For the face, I used Maybelline Fit me Foundation in shade 315 and the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer 25 in Medium. I set my under eyes with translucent powder from NYC. Using the  Lorac Pro Contour Palette to contour in medium on cheeks, temples, and jaw. Smashbox blush in "Pop of Pink". Lips are a NYC lip gloss the name has been wiped away. Ardell Lashes. Brows are just a regular brown shadow. Highlighter is Hard Candy.

Here is a short clip below of the face. I accidentally erased the eye makeup video #majorfail. Hope you like.
